Núria Güell
(Vidreres, Girona, 1981)
Degree in Fine Art (Sculpture) from the Universitat de Barcelona (2003) where she is studying for her PhD (‘Time and Place in Contemporary Art’) and complementing her earlier training in the Master of Digital Photography. Idep. In 2008/9 she took the postgraduate course in Arte Conducta /Behaviour Art) led by Tania Bruguera at I.S.A., Havana, Cuba, which has influenced her work and her desire to work with ‘the real’, continuing her studies in Soma, Mexico (2012).
Her work has been exhibited at the Biennials in Havana, Pontevedra, Ljubljana, Liverpool, Athens and Göteborg and at the Triennial of Tallinn, Sorocaba and São Paulo as well as in museums in Barcelona, The Hague, Madrid, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Paris, New York, Chicago, Miami, Formigine, London, Stockholm, Istanbul, Leipzig, Bucharest, Zagreb, Cali, Lima, Berlin, Graz, Vienna, Limerick, Budapest …
Of note among her recent solo exhibitions are those at: Arts Santa Mònica, Barcelona; EspacioMeBAS, Museo de Santander; Galerija Miroslav Kraljvić, Zagreb, Croatia; Salle Zero, Havana, Cuba.
